Finance education should be free.
Not a free trial. Not a free first chapter with the good stuff locked away. Actually free, for everyone, forever. That is the whole reason this site exists.
The problem we are fixing
Try to learn options trading online. Go ahead. Within about ten minutes you run into a wall. A course for $499. A "free" video that stops right before it explains anything. A person in a rented sports car promising to show you their secret, for a small monthly fee.
Learning how money works has quietly become a product. The people who need it most, the beginners, the curious, the ones just trying to understand their own retirement account, get the least. They either pay up or give up.
That never sat right. The basics of investing are not a secret worth hiding behind a price tag. They are closer to a public good, like a library. So we built the library.
What OptionsAcademy actually is
It is a complete, structured school for options trading, written in plain English that a person anywhere in the world can follow. Three full courses take you from "what is an option?" all the way to managing real positions. A dictionary explains every confusing term the simple way. Strategy guides show you how trades actually work, with real numbers.
No signup wall. No "enter your card to continue." You can read every single lesson without ever telling us who you are. Start with the Beginner Course and see for yourself.
Who is behind it
This is built by Sal Mutlu. Before this, Sal spent years as a licensed financial advisor and investment counselor at a major portfolio-management firm, sitting across the table from real people and managing real money. He has been trading options independently for over a decade since.
Two things matter here. First, the experience is real, not a story invented for the internet. Second, Sal is no longer licensed and does not give personalized advice. Everything on this site is education, the kind you learn from and then apply on your own terms.
You do not have to take any of that on faith. The license history is public record, filed with regulators, and anyone can look it up.
You can also find Sal on LinkedIn.
So what is the catch?
Fair question. A free school still costs real time and money to build, so here is exactly how it stays alive. People who find it useful can donate if they want to. Some links to brokers and tools earn us a commission, at no extra cost to you. Down the road there may be a few simple ads.
That is the entire list. There are no paid courses, and there never will be. Nothing about your education gets locked behind a payment. The learning is free today and it stays free, no matter how big this gets. That is a promise, and the business is built around keeping it.
